Swedish writer and director currently residing in Copenhagen, Leonard is known for his narrative-driven work in both fiction and advertising, often centering on deeply emotional stories.
Before relocating to France to attend the International Film School of Paris, Leonard was a film director at a Swedish advertising agency. He invested his earnings into personal projects, one of which evolved into Renard Rouge, a short film that won multiple awards, including Best Nordic Short at the Nordic International Film Festival in New York. In addition to his work in fiction, Leonard has directed global campaigns for major brands such as IKEA and McDonald’s. His commercials often infuse everyday life with cinematic elements. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, Leonard describes his filmmaking style as "perfectly undone," where small nuances reveal a larger narrative.
